Okay, here's a confession. Start of the year, what I have been doing for Sugary Fancies is work on my supposed weekly blog posts. The usual - hit compose, come up with the title, place my photos on a table via html then save it as draft. I've been doing this for more than half of 2016 that I was able to store around fifteen (15) rough outlines waiting to be published!!
**sigh** I know! That's me, manifesting a classic example of procrastination and adult ADHD! LOL.
Mentioning the word "classic", I have a thing for pieces that are timeless and refined. What better way to translate such than monochrome and houndstooth, right? Though owning just a few clothes of the same design, I honestly do not know anything about this pattern. Curiosity hit me having seen "houndstooth" as the name of this skirt purchased online. And so, I've done a bit of research and learned that this was originally a shepherd's clothing in Scotland around 1800. Then, by 1930's, this was adopted by the upper class as a mark of affluence! Imagine that? A crazy twist behind what we find just mundane. Quite fun to learn a little bit of fashion history.
