OUTFiT | 96.2° Black Summer Dress

You got that right! I am wearing what I call a black summer dress even if the temperature will literally disintegrate the soles of your shoes. Errr... alright, I got carried away. It won't disintegrate. But you will have that "I AM MELTING! I AM MELTING!" feeling.

Okay, enough with the weather rant since you've already heard me complain about it a lot. Haha. There's nothing I can do to change the heat so I need to just focus on making myself comfortable when I step out of my door and do my usual errands. In which today, I chose that little black summer dress.

Everything will be in bloom and it'll be beautiful!

It's common knowledge that black absorbs all wavelengths of light and converts them into heat, thus, the "lighter colored clothing for summer" rule. But do you guys know that according to physics, "black also absorbs energy from the body instead of reflecting it back." Meaning, it's better to wear this hue than white since the latter reflects a great deal of energy coming in.

Physics aside, I think that fabric is more crucial than color. Simple as that. This dress is made out of light material called georgette (similar to chiffon). It is sheer and airy and it will help you keep cool.
