LiFEStyLe: My BibliophiLic Story

"The reading of all good books is like a conversation with the finest minds of past centuries."

Rene Descartes was so right -- good books are time capsules. I know some of you already know how I love to read and blanket our home with books. Reading is like a journey that's why I always look forward everytime I purchase a new read! Sharing with you some of the newest babies to add in my growing collection!

Mythology by Edith Hamilton
Purchased: December 2016
Current Page: 71 out of 330
- Who doesn't love classical mythology? It has been 1,200 ago when the very first story about gods and goddesses was told and re-told by different authors. Reading it again today (aside from learning it in school), somewhat makes all of the writers immortal.

Inferno by Dan Brown
Purchased: August 2016
Current Page: 123 out of 609
- I know... I have been slacking a bit that I've already seen the movie version and yes, I didn't like it at all. But I am still engaged with Robert Langdon's book version that I have forgotten the scenes shown in the film.

Tales of the Peculiar by Ransom Riggs and Millard Nullings
Purchased: October 2016
Current Page: 42 out of  192
- If you have read "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children", then, you'd be glad to have known that this collection of Peculiar stories was written by the invisible lad Millard Nullings.

Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare
Purchased: June 2016
Current Page: 124 out of 668
- This book is the first one of her The Dark Artifices series. So far, I was able to follow her stories of Shadowhunters through The Mortal Instruments and Infernal Devices. The Shadowhunters' world caught my imagination. This is about half angels half humans battling different demons that lurk on the streets of us, mundanes. It's quite a read!

Nights in Rodanthe by Nicholas Sparks
Gifted: December 2016
Current Page:  32 out of 240
- Everytime I hear of Nicholas Sparks, I always think of someone dying. LOL. But I am quite excited to read this book because my co-worker, who gifted this to me, seem to be dreamy talking about this particular read and how it gave her unexpected memories! I have to give this book a go.

The Geography of You and Me by Jennifer Smith
Purchased: March 2016
Current Page: 20 out of 334
- Well, yeah. I am not sure why I bought this book since I am no longer interested in reading anything that just focuses on "love at first sight". I can be forgiving if this entails adventure or any of that kind. But okay. I still have to finish this book to find out what is the fuss about.

Well! There you have it. I hope that by the time I get to publish a blog, I am able to finish atleast one from this list. LOL. What's on your reading list today? Please let me know. I am always glad to connect with you all.

Till my next, everyone! xoxo
